There are two types of primary storage:

  1. Random Access Memory (RAM) – Volatile primary storage
  2. Read Only Memory – Non-volatile primary storage

Types of Read Only Memory (ROM)

  • Programmable Read Only Memory (PROM)
  • Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EPROM)

Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM)
